Hiring in Hyderabad up by 24% in Feb&rsquo15 over Feb&rsquo 14: Naukri Jobspeak

  • Hiring in IT sector increased by 23% in February&rsquo15 over February&rsquo14
  • Hiring of IT and BPO professionals saw an upsurge of 32% and 9% respectively in February&rsquo15 over February&rsquo14

 

Hyderabad, February 2015:
A year on year analysis for Hyderabad revealed that hiring picked up by 24% in Feb&rsquo15 over Feb&rsquo 14. The Naukri Job Speak index for the city was at 1846 in the same period. Among the key sectors of the city, IT and Pharma registered a growth of 23% and 12% growth respectively over the year. 

Industry Sector Analysis:
An in-depth analysis of the city revealed that the IT sector saw an increase of 23% in hiring over the year. Banking emerged as an extremely strong sector registering a growth of 77% in February&rsquo15 over February&rsquo 14. Telecom and Pharma also saw hiring going upwards by 14% and 12% respectively in the month of February&rsquo15 over February&rsquo 14&rsquo.
Among the leading sectors in the city, Construction & Engineering saw a dip of 4% over the year.

Functional Area Analysis:
Hiring of ITES professionals saw the maximum increase with a 9% rise in their Job index value in February 15 over February 14&rsquo. IT- Hardware & Telecom saw 12% more hiring this year in comparison to last year. There was an increase in hiring of Pharma professionals by 5% in Feb 15 over Feb 14&rsquo.
